Game 1: Ramirez vs. Vela (1/2-1/2)

A French defense, Rubinstein variation was played.
The game ended in a very unsual way for us. Not because of the draw, but because of our mutual Blindness! Check it out!

Hello Paco,
I just received the 100.000st unique visitor of my blog. If I'm not mistaken, that was you about half an hour ago. Do you mind if I mention you in a post about this landmark?

On move 25.Qxe6,Qf8...I was so nerves, my hart was pounding 180 times per minutes, I had only 8 minutes for 15 moves to make to the 40Th move, spend-ed 3 minutes thinking on my move 26th and didn't see the killing move 26.Rc1! and started checking my head because i had the feeling i must to kill the black king but cant see it how, so after 3 minutes of thinking decided to take the draw. Oh well I'm happy with the game, both missed very good moves, so the draw is fair. Good game my friend, see you next Monday in your house for another great battle!!
